Associate QA Lead (Fintech / Automation)

WealthOS is a cloud-native wealth management technology company building modern, API-first infrastructure for digital investments, pensions, and savings products. As a recently acquired, fast-growing scale-up, we are an experienced, close-knit team working across the UK and Sri Lanka, always ready to support and learn from each other.

• Act as the primary code reviewer for the QA team, enforcing coding standards, efficiency, and reusability in automation scripts. Mentor junior engineers to help scale the team's capabilities.
• Build and maintain robust automation frameworks using JavaScript/TypeScript. Execute complex test scenarios for backend APIs and frontend UI to ensure data integrity across the platform.
• Collaborate with the QA Lead on sprint planning, estimation, and scope reviews. Champion the move from manual to automated testing wherever possible.
• Identify bottlenecks in the testing workflow and implement CI/CD tools or process changes to accelerate delivery without sacrificing quality.
• Plan and execute testing layers, including API, UI, Regression, and Smoke testing to ensure zero-defect releases.

• You possess 5+ years in software quality assurance with a heavy focus on Automation.
• You have proven experience testing Enterprise SaaS, Fintech, or complex financial systems where data integrity is paramount.
• You have an expert-level proficiency in JavaScript for automation and have hands-on experience building frameworks from scratch (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium).
• You have a deep understanding of API Testing (REST, Postman, Swagger) and API Automation.
• You are proficient with the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).
• Experience with AI tools and frameworks for test automation.
• You possess an ISTQB certification.
• You are proficient with AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB).
• Have knowledge of the performance (k6, JMeter) and security testing practices.
